Mary Lawrence Ellis

Before joining our firm, Mary Lawrence worked for seven years at the Hoke County District Attorney’s Office, where she primarily focused on prosecuting serious felony cases. These cases included domestic violence, drug trafficking, felony assault, child sexual assault, child abuse, rape, and murder. Mary Lawrence has extensive trial experience and has dedicated her career to resolving high-conflict cases. Her commitment, thorough preparation, and empathy for each case are evident in her work.

Mary Lawrence is a native of Hoke County and has strong connections to her community. She graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and earned her Law Degree from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2017. She was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar the same year. After completing her education, she returned to her hometown of Raeford, North Carolina.

After years of advocating for victims of crimes, Mary Lawrence has shifted her practice to focus on family law. She has extensive experience managing complex cases and is skilled at supporting clients through tough situations. Mary Lawrence understands the importance of providing clear and honest advice. Her domestic practice encompasses a wide range of family law matters, including absolute divorce, child custody, alimony, separation agreements, and equitable distribution. Each case is approached with compassion and expertise, ensuring that clients receive the support they need during such pivotal times in their lives.

Mary Lawrence lives in Raeford with her husband, Haydon, and their son. When she is not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her family and their two dogs. Additionally, Mary Lawrence loves going to the beach and competing in fishing tournaments with her family.
